Reverend Donté McCutchen


Reverend Donté McCutchen is a native of Richmond, VA. He was raised at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kenneth Dennis Sr. Pastor McCutchen was licensed to preach by Rev. Marvin Jefferson. Ministry is something that Donté takes seriously and has dedicated his whole life to serve; in many different capacities. He is the founder of Donté McCutchen and The Levitical Priests, Chairperson of The H.E.L.P. Community Advisory Board (Healing, Educating, and Loving People), an Executive Board Member of the Richmond Boys Choir, and a lifetime member, as he says, of The James Cleveland Gospel Music Workshop of America (Richmond Chapter). He boasts about having been under great leadership and finds joy in using all of the teachings received from Pastor Micah Jackson, Bishop Daryl Husband, Dr. Kenneth Dennis and Bishop Kevin Harris; all amazing men of God. He has served in several capacities in the church. Donté fellowship has served on the church choir, praise team, intercessory team, as an office assistant, and on the trustee board to name a few. 


Reverend Donté is the Founder of Love Cathedral Community; where he pastors and Heart For The City nonprofit which started in 2015. Rev. Donté truly believes he followed the direction of God and started a church with the mission of healing the community. Love Cathedral Community Church is a place “Where Jesus Is Lifted And People Are Empowered!”. 
        

Reverend Donté McCutchen is a 2018 Graduate of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Also, he is currently working towards a Doctorate of Ministry in Social Change at Pacific School of Religion. Pastor Donté serves as a Holistic Service Navigator for NIA of Greater Richmond. NIA of Greater Richmond is a faith-based health and wellness organization; allowing Pastor Donté to continue to serve through ministry. In the position he is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services which address the physical, mental, social, and emotional needs of youth and families; placing heavy emphasis on prevention and early intervention of HIV sexual risk, substance use risk, health care and self-care. This has been his field of work and study since 2008 starting off at the Richmond City Health Department and his home base Minority Health Consortium. He is a community advocate, educator, prophet and friend. 


Reverend Donté McCutchen is the son of Janice McCutchen Williams and the grandson of the late Viola McCutchen and James Railey. Donté has four brothers; Curtis, Dominic, Dovan, Curtrell and two sisters; Cherice and Chalaina. Donté also has eight Godchildren who he loves dearly; Garrett, Lawrence, Bria, Lamont, Brandon, Jayla, Giraud and Jourdan. He is known for his favorite saying "It's Safe To Go With God!”
